Gary Penrod

GPA’s CEO and Managing Associate continues to build on solid foundations, beginning with his founding of a building services company. After operating that firm for 15 years, it was sold to a firm in the UK. Later, he formed Gary Penrod and Associates, Inc (GPA). He is a recognized speaker within the industry and has authored many articles for Services and other trade publications. Active in Building Services Contractor’s Association, International (BSCAI), he served on its Board for many years and was also its President. Penrod is known for his general business accuracy and his knowledge of the building services industry and the people within its ranks. He is considered by many to be the authority in the merger and acquisition sector of the industry.

   

Michelle Sullivan Bettez

Michelle Bettez

Michelle Sullivan Bettez, Administrative Associate, is responsible for providing administrative support for all of GPA’s activity, including transaction analysis.  Originally from Ohio, she now resides in Hilton Head Island, SC with her daughter.  She has 15 years of varied business experience and holds a BS from the University of West Virginia. 

   

Michael Nix

ichael Nix

Michael Nix has had a long association with the buildings services industry, first as a founder-operator of a janitorial services company in North Carolina. After selling that company in 2001, Mike continued his association with the industry as an associate with Gary Penrod and Associates, Inc., having been instrumental in assisting GPA with several acquisitions in the mid-Atlantic region. In 2005, Mike moved on with opportunities on the West Coast, while staying in touch with GPA.
As of 2020, Mike is once again an associate with GPA and is already proving his mettle working on several significant acquisition projects.
Mike resides in the Raleigh, NC area.

 

   

Christi Rohmer

Christi Rohmer
Christi A. Rohmer has an extensive background driving M&A, including eight years as CFO of the ISS Facility Services, Inc.’s US operations and the legacy company, Sanitors, Inc., which she helped grow from a regional business with operations in two states to a large national entity through acquisitions and organic growth. During her time at ISS she  helped lead the team that implemented the Hewlett Packard integrated facilities contract, the largest facilities management contract let in the US, covering numerous services at over 144 locations across North America.


Her experience also includes raising capital for a rapidly growing oil and gas services company as its CFO, serving in a variety of financial management roles for manufacturing companies, and three years in public accounting at E&Y.  She has specific expertise in negotiating M&A, equity capitalization and senior debt transactions as well as business valuation, due diligence, transition and integration.

 
Ms. Rohmer is a CPA and received her Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from St Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and her Masters of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
